INK Hotel Amsterdam is nominated as a finalist for the European Hotel Design Awards.

The European Hotel Design Awards is rewarding hotels for their exceptional hotel designs en interiors. The event is annually and originates from the year 1998. The awards form a famous platform for the works of renowned architects and designers. INK Hotel Amsterdam is the only nominated Dutch hotel concept, a recently opened establishment in the old city center of Amsterdam. The INK Hotel Amsterdam is nominated for the following categories “Interior Design Bedrooms & Bathrooms and Lobby, Lounge & Public Areas”

The architecture company concrete Amsterdam was responsible for the concept development and interiors of INK. Concrete was inspired by the ancient history of the hotel’s monumental building and implemented a unique lifestyle hotel concept for the establishment. As former home of the local Dutch Newspaper De Tijd, lots of stories were created, written down and pressed on paper, turning them into INK. The three main themes “Stories, Ink & Time” form the foundation of the INK Hotel Amsterdam and its unconventional choice of interiors. From the unique entrance to the quirky interior design in the rooms, all facilities derive from and are aligned with the rich history of the hotel.

The winners of the European Hotel Design Awards will be announced on 23 November 2015, during the award ceremony at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge in London.
