INK Hotel Amsterdam is an innovative and contemporary lifestyle hotel ‘where stories are yet to be written …’ the first page of the story dates back to 1904 and has been the source of inspiration for every little detail in the hotel. As the former headquarters of the Dutch newspaper De Tijd, it was the place where stories were created, written and finally pressed in ink. The hotel offers six types of rooms, varying from Classic to Suite. The open bathroom design, with white marble and brass frames, is built like a bar in the room. The rooms feel spacious, are designed with emphasizes on functionality and natural light. Details such as pillow buttons with Amsterdam canal houses printed on it and featured INK-style items in the room give the experience at INK an extra touch. Exclusively for the INK Hotel Amsterdam, local artist Jan Rothuizen designed an atlas drawing of Amsterdam. These chalkboard-like paintings on the walls of the rooms represent the city of Amsterdam and tell the amusing story of the hotel and its surrounding area.
